Katatonic on Livation Wednesday, 5/22/19

Katatonic is the name of this band, but it certainly does not describe its sound. It is loud and it can send audiences into a frenzy of abandon–in a good way!  With a mix of 1970’s art school and punk, you’re in for a real treat of wild bedlam.

Katatonic is Natalie Martin up front on guitar & vocals, Brian Melendez on Guitar, Guiliano Scarfo on drums (both formerly of the Katellas and currently of The Dils, & Ford Madox Ford) with Sergio Candelario on bass. Katatonic is on Sergio’s own Devour Records label; he produces their music along with several other bands, including Terminal A and Band Aparte. Katatonic goes on between 12:15 -12:30 a.m. with an on-air interview to follow.

Livation is every Wednesday at midnight (technically Thursday mornings 12:00am)  Listen live at 88.9fm, on the KXLU phone app or stream it live at kxlu.com
