Everyone knows the night before Thanksgiving is an even better party night than New Year’s Eve. What better way to start your long weekend’s hangover than shaking your tailfeather to Prince and Prince-related tunes at the 6th annual Princegiving, a now legendary all-vinyl dance party hosted by DJ’s Sheila Bee (Bee Cam of Twin Harbors) and Jamie Starr (Scott Weaver of The Good Foot) in a departure from their regular gig together as Loose Joints.
Until 2017 it was held at the Kitsch Bar in Costa Mesa, but Princegiving is now at The Hawk in Long Beach, a comfortable former dive with a great cocktail program and regular vinyl nights. Platters start spinning at 9:30 and the room will fill up, so be sure to get there early to ring in the harvest and commemorate the sexiest motherfucker of all time. Happy Thanksgiving!
