The venerable Downtown LA steakhouse, Pacific Dining Car, is celebrating its 98th anniversary in LA by offering their signature dish, the baseball steak, for only 98-cents. The offer has just been extended. You can currently make reservations for this week at this link. So get on it!
Sometimes restaurants give out free donuts or milkshakes, and it doesn’t seem like it’s worth waiting in a long line. The “Training Day” aged, prime 8-ounce Black Angus Top Sirloin is certainly worth waiting in line for–but you don’t even have to! You will have a reservation. The baseball steak usually sells for $19.95. You can just eat the steak with a glass of water if you like, but you will probably want to order drinks and starters and sides a la carte. at the regular price. Remember to tip the wait staff as if you paid the full amount, not on the discounted price. They still have to do the same work.
You don’t need to be a member of the 1921 club to participate. The offer is not available at the Santa Monica restaurant. Each member of your party has to make their own reservation and mention your last name in order to sit with you. There is a limit of four specials per table. I wonder if that is also per person??? I’d imagine so.
