Last Thursday, January 9, 2020, Burt Ward, who played Robin on the television series, Batman, joined his co-star Adam West on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In fact, their two stars are paired up in front of The Guinness World of Records Museum, a high-traffic area for tourists.
Several stars came out for the unveiling of the 2,683rd Star in the Category of Television, including Lee Merriwether (Catwoman) and Terry Moore (Venus Flytrap) from the television show. Filmmaker Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy) entertainment reporter and actor Maria Menounos (Fantastic Four, One Tree Hill) and entertainment reporter Nancy O’Dell (Entertainment Tonight) spoke in tribute to Ward at the ceremony. The Batmobile was also there, which attracted so much attention it is a star in its own right.
Besides his stint as Boy Wonder, Burt Ward founded Gentle Giants Rescue and Adoptions with his wife Tracy and has continued his charity finding homes for specialty breeds of dogs for 25 years. They have also created Gentle Giants puppy and dog food. In tribute to his two passions, there was a standard poodle painted to look like Robin at the event.
