Celebrate an elegant Chinese New Year at a stunning elevated space above Downtown Los Angeles when WP24 hosts Chinese New Year 2020 on Friday, February 7.

In case you’re not familiar with WP24, this Wolgang Puck restaurant is known for its modern interpretations of Chinese cuisine and staggering views of the city, courtesy of floor-to-ceiling windows and its location 24 stories high.

Squid ink steamed dumplings stuffed with shrimp and roasted Peking Duck with pineapple, sesame, scallions and sesame bao buns are just two of the dishes you’ll savor.

In addition to the excellent food, this celebration also includes a Lunar New Year-themed specialty cocktail, a mochi waffle dessert, live performances and interactive learning stations. Gaze upon the dragon dancers bedecked in traditional Chinese costumes (the dragon dance ushers in good luck while banishing the bad) and learn about the traditional Chinese tea ceremony and calligraphy.

We could all use some more good luck, right? Don’t miss the red envelope giveaway, a ritual that spreads good fortune and blessings.

I attended this evening in 2019 and it was both dazzling and delicious. This Year of the Rat event begins at 6:30pm and ends at 9:30pm. Reservations are $89 per person and can be made via the WP24 website or by calling 213-743-8824.
