At 11 a.m. The First African Methodist Episcopal Church (The First A.M.E.) will be hosting a livestream of the gospel and R&B musical, “Revival!” a 2018 film that IMDB calls “the hippest experience of The Gospel the world has yet seen.” The showing will be hosted by actor Harry Lennix, producer Chad Lawson Cooper, and the First A.M.E.’s Pastor Edgar Boyd.

Music is good for the soul. Opera singer Andrea Bocelli will be performing solo, accompanied only by cathedral organist, Emanuele Vianelli from Milan’s historic Duomo. The music, which Bocelli refers to as “a prayer,” rather than a concert, will be comprised of religious music, like the classic, Ave Maria. You can watch it on YouTube or watch live here (above) at 10 a.m. PST.

Hope Chapel is kind of a nondenominational, newfangled Christian church that attracts the South Bay’s young people, especially those who had previously shunned organized religion. Lots of guitars and non-judgemental community worship. Live services will be streamed at 9 a.m., and will include American Sign Language translation. The 11 a.m., services will offer a Spanish translation.
One of the most beautiful churches in Los Angeles is on the coastline of Rancho Palos Verdes. Instead of celebrating God with gilt and gold, the glass chapel shows the glory of creation in nature. The church follows the somewhat obscure tradition of Swedenborgianism (I one-hundred percent did not make that up), but hosts all denominations. Easter services will be streamed live at 10 a.m.
