Food events are dealing with Covid restrictions by morphing from huge, bacchanalian feasts to mellow deliveries and food crawls. The downside is that you miss out on the socializing while enjoying all-you-can-eat-and-drink. The plus side is that they are eminently more affordable. You can also eat in a more leisurely way, enjoying the individual dishes. This week, October 27, 28, and 29, Los Angeles magazine’s annual Burgers Bourbon + Beer extravaganza is unveiling a new format.

This year, three local restaurants have been chosen by the magazine’s Food Editor to each make an exciting off-the-menu burger and bourbon cocktail pairing. Guests can pick up their order to go or dine outside at the locations, one a day, over the course of three days.

Each ticket includes a craft burger served with a cocktail kit made with Maker’s Mark, Knob Creek, or Jim Beam, so you can mix it up at home and not be running around the streets of L.A, drunk on bourbon. You will also receive a goodie bag filled with special promotions, and a one-year subscription to Los Angeles Magazine. Score! You can order additional food, sides or desserts from the restaurant directly. You must pick up your order on the designated pick-up date (Oct. 27, 28, or 29) between 3 – 5p.m. Each ticket is only $18, or you can try all three for $44.00. Must be 21 years or older.Participating restaurants and menus:
