3pm: LAWNDALE
2pm: MONSTERS ON VACATION
1pm: KITTEN FISHING

Quirky and irreverent punk rock fun from San Pedro. Songs about dicks, dead pets, aliens, and the stress of life. These 3 pussies and a cock blast past 11 all the way to 13. Meri Deth – guitar and vox (Last Round, Kill Kitty Kill, Female Chauvinist Pigs), Dee Evil – drums and vox (Ladyhump, Kill Kitty Kill, Female Chauvinist Pigs), Violet Krumble – bass and vox (Skintight, Crotch), and Candy Dahl – guitar (Ladyhump, Poor Kids On Glue).
2:00pm: MONSTERS ON VACATION
Blistering surf instrumentals from San Pedro locals Pete Botica (The Dial Tones), David Viducic and Jerry Trebotic (mike watt + the secondmen). With influences from Dick Dale to the Vandals and the Ramones, these guys bring a new twist to surf-punk.
3:00pm: LAWNDALE
During their brief but prolific run in the mid 1980s, the all-instrumental LAWNDALE was a fixture on L.A.’s second wave punk scene. Playing a unique form of what has been described (possibly by a psychotic) as ‘Surf-infused Psychedelic Melodic Acid-Prog’, the band was fittingly dubbed “the Instrumental Gurus of the Church of the Electric Guitar” by the LA Weekly.”…if you have any fondness for early ’60s instrumentals … and care to see it done superbly plus a demented tinge of Pink Floyd influence, this is the band” – Stone Age News (Jack Skelley, Joe Baiza, Dave Childs, Philo Van Duyne)
4:00pm: DONDO
Heavy psych-punk-blues from South Bay SST veterans Dez Cadena (DC-3, Black Flag, Misfits), Rob Holzman (Saccharine Trust, Slovenly), Bill Bowman, Steve Linn, and Jim Mellon.
5:00 pm: IT’S OK!
An amalgam of sunny pop, blistering soul punk, elephantine rock, and asymmetric jazzbo folk. It’s OK! was founded by chameleon-voiced guitar guru Robert Hecker of Redd Kross. Robert Hecker, guitar/vocals; Ellen Rooney, keys/vocals; Dennis McGarry, bass/vocals; Joey Mancaruso, drums/vocals.
“It’s OK! dazzle and delight with a piquant earful of shiny, shaggy songs and happy, pretty, altogether groovy entertainment”This is only 1500 feet -a six minute walk- from the Expo line stop at 5th and Colorado.
PARKING:
If you’re driving, there are many public lots, including one two doors to the south of Harvelle’s. The first 90 minutes are free. After that it runs about $2/hour. Street parking is usually available on Arizona (a few blocks north of Harvelle’s) between 4th and Lincoln. There is an underground public lot under the Santa Monica Main Library at 601 Santa Monica Blvd which is walking distance from Harvelle’s
