Teach on, Punk!

A recent piece from street artist “Teacher” is up all over the Fairfax District. According to Teacher on the blog, Melrose andFairfax, “One might think that he’s talking to some punk kid who doesn’t want to go to school, however if the education budget is cut so much that the kid has no school to go to, who’s the punk then???”

As for the medium, “its a paster using an image from a hand painted canvas piece. the original canvas is 2ft x 3ft, a photo was taken and printed at 8.5in x 11in, then blown up to 36in wide.” Keep an eye out for Teacher’s latest work, “Kids are Important” featuring a baby on a million-dollar bill.
