Are You ON Holly Jolly Trolley? Or are You OFF The Holly Jolly Trolley?

Starting tonight, downtown Burbank Celebrates 12 Days of Holiday Cheer. It’s not the 12 days of Christmas mind you, but it’s 12 days nonetheless. And there will be Winter Wonderment. How can you turn that down?

Between Dec 1 and Dec 12, Burbank will host 18 holiday events. The meriment kicks off with a communal tree lighting tonight with the mayor at 6pm in front of city hall.  Afterwards on San Fernando between Magnolia to Olive there will be “scores of children’s characters, giant Macys-style balloons, vintage cars, strolling carolers, a community stage, face painting, fun holiday crafts, free treats and more from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.”

Other planned activities include a Polar bear pool party, a pajama party for the kids, and a sing-along on the Holly Jolly Trolley. The AMC walkway will be decked out with a giant walk-thru Christmas tree (What on earth?). Pet night with Santa …does that mean you can get your pet photographed on Santa’s lap? Really? Cool.

On Sunday the 11th,  welcome “the 450-ton Metrolink Holiday Toy Express from the platform at the Downtown Burbank Metrolink Station (201 N Front Street).” Bring new, unwrapped toys to donate to kids in need.

The event wraps up on the 12th with a Free Movie Screening of Elf behind City Hall at 6:30 PM. On December 13, Call the North Pole from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at 818-238-1999.
