Upcoming: Picnic des Chefs May 20th

Sunday, May 20, from 11:30am to 4:30pm, the 32nd annual Picnic des Chefs will be held at Vasa Park in Agoura Hills. The event benefits several charities, including the Concern Foundation and The Hope Program at Children’s Hospital. The Picnic is one of several events held by Club Culinaire, a nonprofit organization of gourmands and people in the restaurant profession who specialize in French food.

Participating chefs will include Joe Miller,  Michel Blanchet, the adorable Josie LeBalch,and let’s admit it, the adorable Neal Fraser. Chefs will be preparing delicacies from various regions in France using over 700 pounds of proteins, 200 pounds of cheese and 500 baguettes. Over 30 wineries will be pouring.

In case you get bored eating (as if!), there will be a plethora of activities, including a moon bounce paradise, petting Zoo, a heated swimming pool with a giant waterslide, rock climbing wall, pétaque, soccer, volleyball and badminton. Raffle prizes include two roundtrip tickets to Tahiti or Paris on Air Tahiti Nui, and a weekend at The Ritz Carlton Laguna Nigel (which is gorgeous).
