Upcoming: Street Food Cinema

Tired of watching outdoor movies while reclining 6 feet above mouldering remains? Street Food Cinema features outdoor movies, guaranteed 100% corpse-free!

The film series starts with Napoleon Dynamite on May 26th and culminates with Talladega Nights. On August 11th the film is Alice in Wonderland and on the 18th there will be an 80s double feature with Sixteen Candles and Valley Girl. To appease the appetite, expect delicious food trucks such as Kogi BBQ and The Munchie Machine. In addition to the films, there will be bonus live music from local bands. The event runs every Saturday from May 26th through September 1st.

Bring all of your friends down the Exposition Park, and doggie friends are welcome too (even though there are no bones for them to dig up).  Street Food Cinema is based at Exposition Park throughout the summer, but the finale will be held September 1st, at Bloch Field in San Pedro. General admission $10. Dogs free.

Sooo I found myself at EAT SEE HEAR tonight in San Monica… and…

WOW WOW WOW! It was SO well organized… from top to bottom. There were about 1500 people, but things weren’t jam packed like cinespia. Good food trucks, good music (LOVED The Diamond Light!), and the screen was insane! They had a pretty high tech looking setup and Anchorman looked as good as it did in the theatres. I am SO going back!
