Sunday, 03-24-2013, is an excellent day to take in some art. Gallery 800 is offering a superb collection of “Landscapes” from the stable of talent from The Art Directors Guild (IATSE Local 800) membership. I attended one of Gallery 800’s opening a couple years ago and I was truly impressed with the level artistry presented by the ADG and it’s membership. Besides, an impressive line up of work offered by Gallery 800 to the public there’s an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication that adds to one’s viewing experience. The night I attended a few years back the ADG provided an exquisite ensamble of strings playing chamber music. This Sunday the music will be provided by “Just In Time”, a Jazz Trio to heighten the experience. To add to the festivities a hosted bar and refreshments will be offered from 5pm to 8pm for the opening night.
These ADG artist use their talents to bring writers words and directors visions to life for film and television. The work presented by Gallery 800 represent these artist’s personal work outside the confines of the entertainment industry. Since 2009 Curator Denis Olsen and Coordinator Debbie Patton have presented these talented artist’s works in an intimate venue and on a personal level to acquaint and to have the public enjoy the work of these ADG artist and their artistry. There will be 60 original pieces offered and 38 ADG artist featured for “Landscape” this coming Sunday at Gallery 800. The exhibition will run through May 4th. Gallery 800 is located in the NoHo Arts District at 5108 Lankershim Blvd. at the Historic Lankershim Arts Center, North Hollywood, CA 91601. The “Landscapes” opening will be a wondrous way to kick the week off in the right direction!
