There’s some buzz flowing from New York City regarding Heeney‘s Garage Rock sound. Heeney is hitting the west coast and has some selected dates right here in Southern California for those inclined to hear something hot and new. The newest single In The Mind that hits some sweet spots with jangly guitar that lands them between Richard Hell and The Viodiods and The No Wave sound that sprung from NYC in the late 70’s. Heeney’s Punk Rock was born and raised in New York City when they formed in 2013. The band consists of Max Kagan (Vocals/Guitar), Mark Fletcher (Vocals/Guitar), Scott Andrews (Vocals/Bass), and John Spencer (Drums) who all deliver a pretty gritty down and dirty version of Punk. Two other Heeney songs you can check out are Brooklyn Pop and New York City for a little flavor and to get yourself ready for the forthcoming live action for the upcoming shows. New York City has an early Hard Core sound that’s beat driven with blistering guitars that might restore your faith in music.
