On the Road Beauty: Repêchage

In the past month my skin has gone from high desert to humid New England, which is not exactly the kind of testing anyone wants (not to mention airplanes, the ultimate dehydrator.) So when Repêchage sent me three of their newest products to test-run, I was thrilled. For the past week I’ve been using the Algo Mist Hydrating Spray which has been reformulated (I try and keep it in whatever fridge is handy, but it need not be – it’s just been so hot wherever I am! My Los Angeles fridge looks like a skin care counter.)

This is going to be one of my next flight staples as it includes seaweed concentrates, Vitamin C, Orange Water, Aloe Vera and Gingko Biloba extract – all of which help reduce those horrible fine lines due that dryness, air travel, sun,  or cold weather can give you. Spraying it on about three times a day, this – in combination with the reformulated C-Serum  – has helped my parched California skin bounce back.

I’m a big fan of serums – I try them all and am pretty picky since there’s only a handful that genuinely hydrate with results (and that you can wear under sunscreen or makeup without pilling.) The beautifully formulated C-Serum Seaweed Filtrate is a highly concentrated seaweed extract rich in vitamins, minerals amino acids and trace elements. EcoCert seaweed provides hydrating, nourishing, and anti-oxidant properties, boosted by natural sources of B12, C, E, K and Beta Carotene, 18 amino acids, and 42 trace elements, both preventing dehydration and returning moisture to those awful dry fine lines.  EFAs and Alginic Acid lock that moisture in, helped by Red Algae’s emollient properties, increasing cell proliferation and overall vitality. I love this product.

Some women I know use face masks on planes but even I can’t go that far – at least not yet (although I do slather my skin with every available moisture treatment at airport duty-frees.) However, I may make an exception for Repêchage’s Biolight Brightening Miracle Mask because it’s that good.  This wonder mask works on discoloration via Glycolic and Kojic acid, which even out skin tone, and rejuvenates with those fabulous EcoCert Seaweeds combined with Willow Bark, Goto Kola and Licorice Extracts.  This little baby will make you glow – in the best way.
