This inspired piece of early 70s harmony first came to my attention on Peanut Butter Wolf’s fantastic Badd Santa compilation. Free Design were playing on the same field as the Beach Boys at the time, sophisticated arrangements and tight vocal clusters, and this track has a great message for those seeking to avoid holiday stress and get to the heart of the matter: “Bring your mind and body back from the store/ get to know the people in your house (you might like ’em.)”
