We can’t wait for the LA Weekly’s second annual Burgers & Beer event! Saturday, July 30th, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. 32 of LA’s Best Burgers and 44 Craft Breweries will be providing endless bites and sips at The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in DTLA. Last year’s event had a streamlined check-in process, and there was no crowding. The pavilion at the entrance to the Coliseum was comfortable with a lot of shade trees.
L.A. Weekly’s food writer, Garrett Snyder, has chosen the best hamburgers in LA to participate. Signature sliders will be provided by some of our favorite restaurants, including Alexander’s Steakhouse, Barrel & Ashes, Belcampo Meat Co., Button Mash, Fritzi DTLA, Hache LA, Plan Check, Preux & Proper, Scratch Bar & Kitchen, Terrine, The Pikey, The Rose, and Venice Whaler.
“Beer guru” and writer Sarah Bennett curated the craft brews for the event. Enjoy suds from the likes of Absolution Brewing Company, Angel City Brewery, Arts District Brewing Company, Baja Brewing Company, Eagle Rock Brewery, El Segundo Brewing Company, Fireman’s Brew, King Harbor Brewing Company, MacLeod Ale, Noble Ale Works, Strand Brewing Co., St. Killian Importing Co., Venice Duck Brewery and Wolf Creek Brewery.
General Admission tickets are $75 and include entry into the event, unlimited food samples from 30+ restaurants, craft beer samples from 30+ breweries, access to entertainment and the vendor village. VIP admission tickets are $95. VIP tickets include all general admission perks, plus early entry an hour before gates open to the general public, and a VIP gift bag. Buy your tickets here.
