The Aquarium of the Pacific is hosting a variety of holiday events through December 23rd. Not only can the kids get their photo with Santa, but they can watch him scuba dive and feed the fish in the Honda Blue Cavern. There will also be real snow on the front lawn. Guests can see a gingerbread house display, listen to carolers singing holiday music, watch snow fall daily in the Great Hall, enjoy a special holiday menu offered daily in Café Scuba, and take pictures with the Aquarium costumed characters in their holiday outfits (I will confess the sting ray weirds me out just a little bit).
Visitors can also watch free daily showings of Sleigh Ride 3D. On weekends through December 23rd, the Aquarium will have a snow play area, children’s crafts, photo opportunities with Santa and holiday characters, and Hanukkah storytelling with opportunities to play dreidel.
On the weekend of December 17th and 18th, “families can attend Breakfast with Santa in the Aquarium’s Café Scuba. Enjoy a tasty selection of breakfast foods available for purchase and get your holiday card picture snapped with Santa and other aquarium mascots. No RSVP is necessary.” Events will run from 9am – 6pm. Included with aquarium entry.
“In addition to all the holiday fun, visitors can also view all of the Aquarium’s animals and exhibits, including the Horses and Dragons exhibits and Vanishing Animals gallery opened this summer, the two young penguins born in May, and the rest of the 11,000 Pacific Ocean animals that call the Aquarium home.”
$29.95 adult (12+), $26.95 senior (62+), $17.95 child (3-11), and free for children under age three and Aquarium members. Buy tickets online.
