you seen this boat before? it’s the california responder and though its wikiwand (wikipedia for smartleashes) page says it’s home port is port hueneme (about seventyfour miles northwest of here), I’ve seen tied up on terminal island in a slip off the l.a. harbor main channel near the old southwest marine shipyard for years. if you know what its job is then it’s kind of scary to see it at sea… hopefully it’s a training cruise or something like that.
