Although the Bob Baker Marionette Theatre has found new Digs, the 5th annual Bob Baker Day is still scheduled to celebrate what would be Bob Baker’s 95th birthday on  February 23, 2019 at the Los Angeles State Historic Park.

The 5th annual whimsical carnival takes place from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. with puppet shows including Captain Wilbur from The Circus, live music from the likes of tiki master King Kukulele, a vinyl DJ set from OK GO’s Tim Nordwind, plus face painting, puppet-making workshops with the Los Angeles Guild of Puppetry, juggling workshops, Hair Tinseling, Carnival midway games, balloon twisting, a pop-up puppet museum, hula hooping, booths and strolling entertainers.

What more could anyone want? Maybe some delicious treats? Food trucks onsite include the famous early truck innovator Kogi BBQ, Prince of Venice
The Fix on Wheels, and delicious cones from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams.

Check out other upcoming events like Imagination Dwells Here at Pasadena’s Southern California Children’s Museum, Monthly Shows at The Miracle Mile Toy Hall, and Pink and Puppets: with Angelyne and the Bob Baker Marionette Theater. Yes, you read that correctly–Angelyne in all of her pink finery and glory!
