Ashley Longshore is a pop artist from New Orleans who is making a splash with her flowery, glittered and bejeweled paintings containing wacky slogans. This month she has a pop-up art show at florist/perfumer Eric Buterbaugh’s Beverly Boulevard gallery for her first exhibition in LA.

Ashley’s colorful artworks are statement pieces that are a reflection of the experiences she has in life, she claims. Many pieces are portraits of famous people from Audrey Hepburn to rap stars or political personalities like Abraham Lincoln.

Her whimsical style has caught the attention of Hollywood celebrities and the fashion world. She has collaborated with Diane von Furstenberg on a powerful women series, Bergdorf Goodman on home accessories, and Judith Leiber on bags to name a few.

Longshore has a larger-than-life personality and dresses herself in camp designer clothing and accessories that she makes herself. She is from Montgomery, Alabama but now lives in New Orleans and has her studio there. It is her spiritual home.

Check out her vision of the glam life and her amusing paintings, which will be shown until May 24, 2019 at the Eric Buterbaugh Gallery.  8271 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048 11am – 6pm  323-651-9844.
