From 10 AM until 6 PM today and tomorrow, June 15 and 16, 2019, Black Arts LA will host its 10th annual Juneteenth Heritage Festival in Leimert Park. The festival celebrates Juneteenth, which takes place on June 19th and commemorates the day in 1865 that the last slaves in America were finally freed, which, you should know, is not the same day as the Emancipation Proclamation.
