Spare Change on Livation Wednesday 7/24/19

Livation welcomes the duo Spare Change to the KXLU performance studio this Wednesday. They describe their sound as “a mashup of punk rock and hobo sensibilities” with a “severe bluegrass addiction”.

Spare Change is Candy Graham, the local multi-talented muse (The Gypz, Privileged Perverts) and Jordan Grubb, AKA Drink Ticket (Darky Dark & the Junkie Bunch, Green Jelly).

We will also be talking with John Nikolai who has organized Punks For Pussies, a fundraiser being held at Maui Sugar Mill Saloon in Tarzana this Friday night (7/27) to benefit homeless cats & kittens in L.A. to get them vet care and find them homes ($20 donation at the door).

Spare Change goes on between 12:15-12:30, a live interview follows. Livation is on every Wednesday night at midnight (PST) through to Thursday’s wee hours. Listen live at KXLU 88.9fm in Los Angeles or stream it live at kxlu.com everywhere! You can also listen on the KXLU phone app.
