The 11th Annual Taste of Farmers Market at the iconic Third & Fairfax destination is happening Tuesday, July 23, 2019, from 5-9 p.m.
Admission includes an evening of delicious bites, live entertainment, and activities for the entire family. There will be plentiful food sampling from your favorite market merchants, with many vegetarian options. Included are beer and wine samples, two non-alcoholic drinks, a firehouse chili tasting, and free parking.
In support of the First-In Fire Foundation and local firehouse stations 61 and 58, there will be firehouse chili tastes prepared by firefighter chefs. Local Firehouse Station 61 is known for their chili at local cook-off fundraisers, where their entire staff gets involved.
“Our whole fire station is going to be participating with preparing the food and will be over there as well at the event. All of the firefighters that are working that day will be helping out,” said Captain Rocky at Firestation 61. “We enjoy it. We get to be out in the public and meet people, and perhaps do a little community education. And certainly being able to interact in time when it’s not a life-threatening emergency is always a nice thing.”
Tickets are on sale now online and on-site at the Farmers Market office for the entire event. Be sure to take advantage of that Early Bird pricing of $40 per ticket. For those interested in joining the tasting extravaganza with a group, group discounts are available with 10% off tickets for 10 guests or more.
