Themed pop-ups are all the rage in promotion these days, with the recent opening of “Scoops Ahoy” from Stranger Things, “Good Burgers,” and “Hilary’s Café” from Fleabag all recently showing up in LA. Now Warner Brothers is bringing the Derry Canal Day Festival and Funhouse from “It: Chapter 2” to the corner of Hollywood and Vine on August 15, 2019, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Back in the summer of 2017, Pennywise the Dancing Clown’s home, Neibolt House, popped up on the same corner offering guests a 7-minute immersive experience. The Derry Days Canal Festival will ramp things up with a free 40-minute peek into the movie, through 10 different spaces.

The event will run from 2 PM until 11 PM daily, up until the opening of the movie on September 8th. The minimum age is 17, if accompanied by an adult. ID required. Large purses, bags, and backpacks are prohibited. The online reservations are all sold out, but there will be a line for tickets at the door.
