Celebrate the Opening of Smashed with Free Burgers, Live Music & More

Double Wagyu Cheeseburger at Smashed

Owned by the same guys who made Mexican eatery/bar Te’kila such a success, Smashed, a new burger bar located in a bustling section of Hollywood, is opening its doors on Friday, October 11.

In honor of its public unveiling, Smashed is giving away free burgers for their first hour of operation, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Drink specials will add to the festivities, with live DJs spinning from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

The menu at Smashed is simple and tasty, as I discovered firsthand at a preview. With a menu as minimal as this one, every dish is a house specialty. You’ll find a Double Cheeseburger featuring two beautifully seared smashed Wagyu beef patties, a Vegan Burger, made with a Beyond Meat patty, and Loaded Fries, a mass of French fries heaving with Wagyu patties, American cheese, chopped onions, and secret sauce. They may not be pretty (image below) but they do satisfy.

Smashed features a full bar and a cocktail menu with about a dozen choices, including a few classics (Old Fashioned, daiquiri, Aperol Spritz, Bee’s Knees, and a margarita), a trio of slushy cocktails, and five signature cocktails, the highlight of which is Hot Girl Summer, composed of chamomile-infused tequila, lime, ancho chile, and agave.

Located just a few feet from Te’kila, this new spot appears poised to be as lively. The walls, bestrewn in neon-colored graffiti courtesy of local artists Dehmq and EyesBehindArt, will no doubt inspire countless Instagram moments.

Throughout opening weekend, enjoy drink specials and a live DJ from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Nighthawks will be gratified to know that Smashed will be open until 2 a.m. each and every night.

Smashed is located at 6541 Hollywood Blvd. Restaurant page
