Saint Patrick’s Day is Happening Again! Here’s Where

It’s been a bummer not being able to celebrate St Paddy’s Day. Here are some events happening around LA on March 17, 2022. There is everything from tiki parties, to German festivals, to Funk Fests. Everyone is Irish!

BARS AND BASHES

St. Paddy’s Day at Bar Louie

After a two-year hiatus, St. Paddy’s Day is back at Bar Louie! The Original Gastrobar is partnering with Guinness for in-bar beverage offerings, Green Beer, Irish Slammers, in-bar beverage offerings, personalized pints, live music, Guinness swag and the chance to win a trip for two to Dublin, Ireland! Now through March 31, guests can enter the Guinness Dublin Trip Sweepstakes by downloading the Bar Louie app and joining the Louie Nation loyalty club or by scanning a designated QR Code at any Bar Louie location. The grand prize winner will receive a trip for two that includes a five-day-four-night hotel stay, airfare, a VIP tour, gift and food vouchers, and a $1,000 spending allowance. So what are personalized pints? This one-of-a-kind technology can print any image into the foam of a Guinness draft beer. St. Patrick’s Day at The Irish Times

9 am / Palms

The Irish Times, a family-owned bar, starts the festivities early early  with bartender James O’Neill making specialty Irish Coffees and Boilermakers with Lost Irish Whiskey. Treat yourself to Irish breakfast, pub grub, or the traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage. Entertainment starts at 1 pm and continues ’til closing. Red Lion’s St Paddy’s Day Party with Festmeister Hans

12 Noon – 2 am / Silver Lake

St. Patrick’s Day at a German restaurant and bar? Sure, why not! It’s a day for everyone to celebrate. Green beer, drink specials all day long in the downstairs bar. Festmeister Hans will be performing in the downstairs bar at 10:00 PM with German AND Irish songs! Tam O’ Shanter

Walt Disney’s favorite restaurant, the Tam O’ Shanter, is turning 100 and will kick-off its centennial milestone celebration with its epic St. Patrick’s Day bash. with live music from the Ploughboys, Haywire, and Reaver Ship. $10 cover to enter the big party tent. There is limited parking (due to the tent taking up much of the parking lot), so carpool or take a ride service to the event. Proof of vaccination will be required for all guests over 12 years old & a Valid Photo Id for those 21+ for alcohol service. Tonga Hut Irish Tiki Party

4 pm / North Hollywood

The Original St. Patrick’s Day Irish Tiki Party returns to the Tonga Hut in NoHo. LA’s oldest surviving tiki bar will host a Happy Hour from 4-8 pm, with drink specials all day. They will have $3 Irish shots, Durango’s Tacos, prizes, and an Irish/Tiki Costume Party, which you know will be awesome.

MELLOWER CELEBRATIONS

Candlelight St. Patrick’s Day: Celtic Folk at The Hollywood Roosevelt

6 p.m. & 8:30 p.m. / Hollywood

If you are looking for something quiet and romantic, the Hollywood Roosevelt will be presenting a candlelit classical Celtic folk music performance in their Blossom Ballroom. There will be two one-hour performances by the String Quartet – Metropolis Chamber Musicians, who will also be playing Irish standarss like “Danny Boy.” There is a bar available in the lobby for additional purchase. Original Farmer’s Market St Patrick’s Day Celebration

12:30 pm / Fairfax

Enjoy an afternoon of Irish food and live music. Glenny T. will be playing the bagpipes from 12:30-3:30pm, and then you can celebrate with traditional Irish folk music at Market Tavern in the evening. Magee’s Kitchen, the Market’s first eatery, will be serving their world-famous corned beef, cabbage plate all day long! The Universal Bar & Grill will be getting funky with music from the baddest, funkiest bands in LA.
