Grammy Night Glamour

KpartyPre-award beauty prep began with celeb hairstylist Paul Norton using Joico products to create Golden Globe winner Jane the Virgin actress Gina Rodriguez’s gorgeous, full-bodied locks. Using a cocktail of Joico’s JoiWhip and Heat Set to dry, adding  Joico IronClad to protect, Norton then had Gina “flip her head upside down and sprayed Joico Flip Turn.”

grammy1“The Grammys is the kind of event where you can really bring out your inner diva and go full throttle sexy,” Norton explained. “Gina’s form fitting low-cut gown made me want to see her hair down with a wild, fuller, more ‘disco’ kind of curl. So I instantly invoked the divas from Studio 54.” Using Joico’s all Hair Shake completed the look.

Post-show parties began as Keurig hosted their First Annual Grammy After-Party at downtown’s Continental Club. The event featured a special performance by 2015 Grammy R&B nominee, Bernhoft, and additional sounds by DJ Aaron Colbert.

-1Famous for its best-selling at-home brewing machines, Keurig celebrated the Keurig 2.0 – its newest line of home brewing equipment. Mixologist-created Keurig non-alcoholic and regular cocktails.

Cocktails included the Nutty Russian (Russian Standard Vodka, Hazelnut liquor, Mocha Nut Coffee and layer of cream, finished with chocolate covered espresso bean), Kentucky Coffee (Buffalo trace bourbon, brown sugar cube, Doughnut House Coffee, and honey whipped cream, dusted with doughnut crumbles) and the La Dolce Vita: (Amaro Nonino, Carpano Antica sweet vermouth, Amaretto Coffee and club soda, served over ice with orange essence), paired perfectly with the two dessert displays.
