Ringo Starr, with a little help from his friend/Brother In-Law Joe Walsh, will be celebrating his 75th birthday with a ceremony in front of where else….the Capitol Records building in Hollywood. In addition to it being the seminal rocker’s birthday, he will be celebrating his 10th installment of his annual “Peace and Love” festival precisely at noon. Starr will also be joined by his long-time wife Barbara Bach, drummer Jim Keltner, Guns ‘N Roses drummer Matt Sorum, and several other members of his All-Star Band. Sounds like the making of a good impromptu concert. One can hope, although there have been no published plans for the ex-Beatle to perform.
The event is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. at 1750 N. Vine St., Hollywood. Vine Street will be closed to motor vehicles Tuesday morning.
