Join the LA Weekly’s annual holiday party this Saturday, where you can shop for artisinal and handcrafted holiday gifts while enjoying Sips & Sweets from over 20 renowned bakers and more than 15 of LA’s best mixologists. And how about some live music from Cutty Flam and Candy Pants? Way better than the shopping mall’s piped in Christmas carols.
Curated by the LA Weekly’s own James Beard Award-winning food critic Besha Rodell and Roxana Jullapat, this party includes delicious treats from Shannon Swindle of Craft LA, Mariah Swan of bld Restaurant and ICDC, Luis Ayala of Broken Spanish, Paige Russell of Hatchet Hall, plus LA Beat favorites Elizabeth Belkind of Cake Monkey Bakery, and Sherry Yard of Helm’s Bakery. Plus, you can go crazy on totally addictive ice cream from McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams.
Top mixologists will be creating their signature holiday drinks, including Mikki Kristola of The Varnish, Karen Grill of Sassafras Saloon, Ryan Wainwright of Terrine, Darwin Manahan of Osso and Cliff’s Edge, Michael Lay of Broken Spanish and B.S. Taqueria, Gabriella Mlynarczyk of Birch and The Loving Cup, Jesus Gomez of 1886 Bar, plus Edwin Osegueda of Faith and Flower.
