Ozzy Osbourne Celebrates the Release of ‘Ordinary Man’ with a Party at the Rainbow and a Signing at Amoeba

Ordinary Man, Ozzy Osbourne’s latest album, is a carefully crafted love letter to his fans. It is a truly delicious recording and it leaves you wanting more Ozzy for years to come. Ozzy is not well right now and longs to have his health back. He just had to cancel his tour because he doesn’t feel up to it. I hope that this is not his last album. Lots of Ozzy’s peers are gone. It must be painful to outlive your buddies.

But he was fine for the record release party at The Rainbow–all smiles. However, he did have to cancel his appearance on Jonesy’s Jukebox because he was too under the weather just ten hours later.

The Rainbow was packed. I went with Lawrence Montoya and movie production designer, Roy Rodgers Oldenkamp. Dita Von Teese looked fabulous in green satin and poor Ron Jeremy was turned away at the door. The guest list was tight.

As I write this, Ozzy is at Amoeba and the line is around the corner. It’s a madhouse and you can tell Ozzy missed Jonesy because he stayed up too late the night before.

Thank you, Sharon Osbourne, for a far-out pizza party. We love Ozzy, and his new record has the bests riffs ever; it’s truly one of the riffiest he’s ever made
Lemmy would have loved it too.

Heavy Metal legend Ozzy Osbourne made an appearance at Amoeba Records today. He was there to sign copies of his new album Ordinary Man. His wife Sharon was there too, overseeing the event and sporting a new gray haircut. Fans, dressed in black and leather, began lining up early in the day and the line stretched around the block. “It was a long wait but worth it,” said one fan as he showed off his signed records. It’s not often we get a chance to get this close to our beloved “Prince of Darkness.”
