The Echo Theater Company’s world premier presentation of 6 commissioned one act plays (which were reviewed by the LA Beat on August 16 and were originally scheduled to run through August 23) has been extended to run through August 31. Each play is set within a different bedroom and the characters explore the dimensions of life we all explore in the privacy of our own places of passion, agony and slumber – love and its dissolution, life, death, drugs . . . and letting the dog on the bed. The kinds of writing, performance and examination of life in the early 21st century that we expect small theater to provide us.
